SERENDIPITY – MYSTICAL CONCEPT

Als Gestaltungstechnischer Assistent war ich bis 2012 als 3D- und Mediendesigner in Köln tätig, unterstützte bis 2023 den Kunstbuchverlag TASCHEN als Technical Supporter. Aus alledem resultierte die freie Arbeit als Objektemacher und meine CABINET ART.

Mit einem retrospektiven Portfolio (Auszüge unten) schloss ich mit computerisierter Kreation und Präzision ab und erlaubte fortan das experimentell Händische, in das die digitalen Passionen nur noch synergetisch einflossen. Meine heutigen Arbeiten behandeln die Manifestation des Virtuellen sowie Virtualisierung des Realen.

Flow, Fokus und Erfüllung finde ich im Schaffensprozess. Das Objekt ist kein Ziel, sondern eine diffuse Vision, der ich mich hingebe, um in den erfüllenden Schaffensprozess zu gelangen. Fokus und Flow manifestieren dann das Objekt als ein Resultat, was nur ein Nebenprodukt meines erhaschten Blickes auf das Harmoniepotenzial aller Dinge und Ereignisse ist. Das Tun braucht Weile, und darin erhalten leicht zu übersehende, vermeintlich zufällige Verbindungen Zeit und Raum, um sichtbar zu werden.

Das Ungeplante, Ungezwungene, Unbeherrschte ermöglicht den menschenmöglichst reinen Blick auf die Quelle aller Ideen.

As a design technical assistant, I worked as a 3D and media designer in Cologne until 2012, and supported until 2023 the art book publisher TASCHEN as a Technical Supporter. From all of this emerged my independent practice as an object maker, and my CABINET ART.

With a retrospective portfolio (excerpts below), I concluded my work with computerized creation and precision, allowing myself from then on to embrace experimental craftsmanship, into which my digital passions now flow only as a synergistic influence. My current works explore the manifestation of the virtual, and the virtualization of the real.

I find flow, focus, and fulfillment in the creative process. The object is not the goal but a diffuse vision to which I surrender in order to enter that fulfilling process of creation. Focus and flow then bring the object into being as a result – merely a by-product of my fleeting glimpse of the harmonious potential inherent in all things and events. Creation requires time, and within that duration, easily overlooked, seemingly accidental connections are given the time and space to become visible.

The unplanned, the unforced, the uncontrolled make possible the most purely human glimpse of the source of all ideas.
